Hello folks, You'll notice a number of changes at Mark Denton Photographic over the coming months. Basically we are trying to make the site more simple to use and navigate, and with added impact for the actual photography, which after all, is what we are here for.
cloud over cadair idris, mawddach estuary click the image to begin the Wales slideshow - allow time for loading We've always done everything in house here, including our web design. This still remains the case. Perhaps this is the final major overhaul of the site we will do ourselves. We've always trod a fine line between trying to have a professional look( I stress trying), while not appearing too 'corporate' or gimmicky. At the same time we've tried to make the photographs the most important feature; but perhaps this has slipped in recent months. For this reason we are introducing slideshows to replace the inadequate and little used book galleries. We're also introducing a shop for the first time, to hopefully make it easier to buy Mark Denton products. This may yet have to be designed professionally - we'll see how we get on! It's going to take a while to effect these changes, so please bear with us. Any questions, or if you notice any errors in the site please contact us at markdentonphotographic@gmail.com. It's been a very busy winter. What else? :-) Most of the slideshow images come from the last few months, though not exclusively. Click here to view Scotland, and here for Wales. There's been some great times, and fortunately not too much frustration. I seem to have been usually able to make sensible decisions of which locations to tackle and when. I guess it comes from greater experience, though plenty of sunlight helps of course. We've had winters in the UK that have been mild, but where a shroud of crowd has covered the islands for months on end. This one has been very cold, with 3 feet of snow in areas of Scotland, but lively in the skies. All the better for me, but for the disintegrating roads cracking my windscreen! Anyway, that's enough for now from me. More when we have something else to show you! yours Mark |
